What is Dudeism?

Dudeism is a modern, tongue-in-cheek religion inspired by the character Jeffrey "The Dude" Lebowski from the 1998 film *The Big Lebowski*, directed by the Coen brothers. Officially known as The Church of the Latter-Day Dude, Dudeism promotes a laid-back, relaxed approach to life, emphasizing principles such as going with the flow, taking it easy, and living in the moment. It combines elements of Taoism, Zen Buddhism, and American Transcendentalism, encouraging followers to reject societal pressures and stress. The movement, while humorous and light-hearted, aims to spread a message of peace, happiness, and a simple, stress-free lifestyle.
